Dr. Raman is a Board Certified Family Physician specializing in anti-aging and preventative medicine. I did my medical training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, six-year accelerated medical program, and graduated in 1998 and then joined family medicine residency at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. On completion of residency, I spent one year working at St. John’s Mercy Emergency Room before joining my current practice at the St. Louis Medical Clinic and developing a passion for preventative medicine and anti-aging and weight loss.
In addition to a full time practice, I have had the privilege to serve as a Health Reporter for Fox 2 News. This media platform has given me the opportunity to deliver the message that for every symptom experienced, there is a diagnose and a treatment.
On March 28, 2009, I was humbled with the honor of the “Woman of the Year” award given by Zonta International. Zonta is an organization that emphasizes and encourages the role women play in society. It teaches women no matter how big or small the part, we all encompass the global phenomena of womanhood.
My second job includes that of being a mom to a son Anshul and daughter Nithya. I have a wonderful husband,Venky, who keeps me grounded and is my “Xanax” when life gets to be too much.
In my spare time, I am an avid fitness buff and that passion inspired me to get certified in Personal Training thru NASM and Fitness Nutritionist thru ISSA. I have also continued to follow my childhood passion of Indian classical dancing. I am blessed in being able to share this experience with my daughter by taking classes together. It is my wish that every person find balance in their life.

I am Maggy Elbring, medical secretary for Dr. Raman at Reflections Wellness Center. In addition to answering phone calls, assisting and scheduling patients etc.. I also help Dr. Raman with marketing and special events.
I spent my first career as a wife and mother. I supported my husband in his business endeavors in technology startups. I have two wonderful children who were both National Merit Scholars and are now off pursuing their dreams in college and beyond. I enjoy reading, traveling and working out. I have also been blessed with an opportunity for motherhood again with my cute seven year old Maltese.
I have known and respected Dr. Raman for nine years as both my family physician but also as a friend. So, it was with great pleasure that I accepted this opportunity to work with Dr. Raman and assist her with her vision of creating strong lasting relationships between the patient and the doctor. I look forward to getting to know all of Dr. Raman’s patients.
